cubs win! cubs win!

This was our first year for baseball and we loved every minute of it! We somehow missed t-ball and went straight to coach's pitch. Will was the youngest on the team, but did great. We are so proud of his good attitude and how he listened to his coaches, and the boy can really whack the ball too! I think he likes baseball as much as his parents do. This may be the start to some really, really fun years ahead.

Uncle B and Aunt Amy gave W this awesome, huge backpack (and plenty of accessories) for his birthday. He carried it to every game and every practice without fail. They also gave him a cool red and silver bat. Uncle B explained that most good ball players name their bats, so W named his red bat "big blue". I think the best part of this season for me was watching my husband coach my son. He pitched every game except the one we missed when Lucy was born, left work early to make it to practices (he does NOT usually leave work early), was patient and kind and is quite athletic, might I add. He is an amazing Daddy and I'm so proud of him.
