regular time vs. God time

I totally stole this idea from this momastery post, which Kristin sent. I love it and totally agree, and just for fun I thought I should include a few of my Chronos (regular time) vs. Kairos (God time) moments for my children to look back and enjoy later... Hopefully, one day I'll be an old lady who doesn't tell younger women, "enjoy every second", but rather, "keep up the hard work! I can tell you're a good mom. I like your kids, especially the one:
peeing on the palm tree at the San Diego Grand Del Mar, or
with someone else's chewed gum off the playground hanging out of her mouth, or
who just laid you out on the restaurant floor by kicking your high-heeled feet out from under you, or
eating a large portion of the dirt off the pansies your trying to plant..."

I know I'll look back and laugh at those things, although they're never really funny in the moment. I'll look back too and remember how my kids can make a pretty tough lady cry, and how they continually help to soften her heart by:
the way E still smells like Heaven when she wakes up, and
the times W says out of no where, "I LOVE you, Mom", and
moments when the house is quiet and calm (because everyone is in bed), and I glance at the not-so-small tennis shoes laying in my kitchen and almost cry because I can't believe how blessed we are and that these little creatures are asleep in our house and under our care.

What an awesome responsibility and what an amazing gift.
