lemonade and lightning bugs

I decided to start a blog- kind of a trial run for the summer to see if I could keep it up. I was feeling way behind with so many 100 degree days already, but then I realized today is the first official day of summer. In which case, it's been a fun, hot "spring" around the Okruhlik house. So, happy summer, everyone! Here's hoping you enjoy all the beauty of summer- lemonade selling and sprinkler playing and lightning bug catching- enjoy!

Snacking on sun-baked smores with good friends as poor Meg awaits a crumb to drop. Thanks, Daddy, for the homemade lemonade stand! And sorry, Dad, about the euro suit on the first post.

Our sweet, sweet girl.

Sweet, sweet, but not quiet or calm. Here she is about to climb into the jog stroller off the coloring table in 3 easy steps. Who said girls weren't as active?!

We LOVE tomatoes!

Probably silly, but this pic is especially meaningful to me because my little boy is swinging his leg over and taking off on his bike is one quick move. Wasn't he just climbing step by step into the jog stroller?!

And here's our cool Dad with Mr. Fitz, almost snagging a foul ball at the Ranger (I mean, Astros) game. Can't believe we caught it on tv.

Love, Mere

  1. I love the blog - what a great way to share your fun days of summer with all of us. And, you know, I love getting every picture you post of my adventurous granddaughter and so-grown-up grandson! Troy, great job on the lemonade stand! I can't wait to come buy some ice-cold lemonade. Love, Gigi
